Ishita Pareek, LPC
Gosh. Therapy is hard.
I mean, who wants to talk about a bunch of painful emotions, right?
My goal for our journey together is for it to be a journey of positive change. Like a caterpillar to a butterfly. I want to offer you a chance to grow in all areas of your life, by supporting you, encouraging you and genuinely understanding what makes you and your journey unique.
Life is worth living… and it is worth living well.
I want my office to be a safe, non-judgmental space. I want to you feel uplifted and unburdened when you are with me. I want you to be confident in your decision to put your trust in me to help you through your season.
I want you to feel relaxed, supported and motivated to reach your goals. I love expressing myself through creativity and design. Let me just say… needing therapy is normal! Think of it as an investment. We ALL need this at different points in our lives.
Going through this process is the best gift you can give yourself. It’s you telling yourself that you care about yourself. It’s you telling yourself that you don’t just want to survive, you want to thrive. It’s you telling yourself that you’re worth it.
Mission & Purpose
A famous artist once said, “Your mission in life is to find your gift, and your purpose in life is to give it away”.
My mission is to be a healer. And my purpose is to share that healing process with you.
About Me
I am a licensed professional counselor. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences from Christian Brothers University as well as a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Memphis. I have experience working with people of all ages, all backgrounds, all races and religions. Being able to connect with you and understand your path is so important to me. Some of my specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, drug and alcohol abuse, relationship issues, family dynamics, and other mood disorders.
I have been in the Southaven area for most of my life. I have a very easy going and compassionate personality. I love animals – especially my little rescue dog. She is a 9-year-old Lhasa Apso, a tiny dog with infinite love! I love to travel and have new experiences. I come from a big family, and love spending time with them.
My hobbies include working out, yoga, spending time with friends, and sometimes I love to just chill on the couch with my dog and a really good TV show or movie!
I am so excited to get to know you and start this journey with you!
