Monica Ferrelli-Lemmon, LCSW
My hope is to help guide you to feeling a sense of personal balance, healing and connection.
I understand the strength you must have to ask for guidance, and I embrace this determination to work toward positive personal changes.
If you feel like you are getting nowhere with your ex when trying to co-parent, you aren’t alone! I’ve helped countless families in your position learn how to navigate this new world of parenting in separate households.
I am forthright and up front in a caring, nonjudgmental way, and I’ll provide you suggestions on how to achieve success. At the end of the day, my goal is to not only create peace and cooperation in your households, but to also make sure your children feel loved and cared for through this challenging time.
When you feel like you can’t climb out of your depression…
… or turn off your anxious thoughts, you may feel terrified to begin therapy. Going to that first appointment can be intimidating, but an empathetic, caring therapist can help guide you through this journey.
I can help you learn to reframe your negative thoughts and guide you to healing.
Working with families is my passion!
If your child is acting out and you feel you have tried every parenting strategy that you have read about or friends/family members have suggested, your family could benefit from family therapy.
Learning communication strategies, how to compromise when necessary, and not just hearing, but listening to your family’s point of view and needs can be life-changing.
Since being trained in EMDR, I have a renewed passion for helping people who struggle with trauma.
Whether you have experienced trauma, witnessed trauma, or even hearing about a traumatic incident can be devastating.
One of my greatest joys is helping you through the healing process. It may not be easy, but you can learn not to feel trapped by the memories and feelings.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with experience in various treatment areas including:
in-patient; out-patient; residential; in-home; and school-based programs. I am specifically trained in EMDR and Structural Family Therapy although I include Behavioral, CBT, Acceptance, and Interpersonal therapies as part of my treatment.
I am also a LCSW supervisor for those who are working toward clinical hours for licensure.
A little more about me…
In my personal life, I have been caring for my mother for years while volunteering to help the elderly. Going through life changes such as illnesses, retirement or caring for your aging parents brings a new set of challenges to life. I have been there; let me help.
Last but not least, I am married and have three children. In my free time, you can find me walking my dogs Camo and Penny, gardening, cooking or playing board games with my family.
Thank you for taking the time to read about me!
