My family is a “mess.”
We can’t get along.
We argue all the time, because no one can make a decision. My parents blame me for everything!
There is so much tension and conflict between my husband and myself – we can’t parent the way we should; our children are out of control.
We can’t get our kids to do anything; they don’t listen. Why is my son so angry all the time? We can’t have a meal together without mean words said to each other.
I just don’t know what else to do.
Has it gotten to the point that you would rather be anywhere than home?
It’s like walking into a war zone. Just the anticipation of what will happen next keeps you anxious and on edge.
Your own anger and resentment are eating at you inside.
Not quite sure how your family got this way and don’t know how to make it better.
You’ve tried what you know, but nothing works. It’s just so stressful and chaotic.
Feeling in constant battle with your family is exhausting…
… and you know it’s not how your family should be.
This is your family. Sure, you knew it wouldn’t always be great, but you had no idea it would be like this.
Walking away seems easier, but this is your family.
I want a better relationship with my husband and children. I want to be loving and nurturing rather than angry and on edge.
I just want the fighting to stop.
Sometimes family is tough, and we understand it.
